We know that your main concern lies in the integrity of the companies you do business with. Especially with internet-based businesses, it is often difficult to determine the true values and goals of your supplier. Here you will find Puget System’s customer testimonials. Entries from our customers are not restricted, and are audited only for inappropriate content. It is our goal to give you a clear picture of our service and product quality, straight from the mouths of our customers. We appreciate any feedback, positive or negative, that you have!

Because my last build (March 2006) has been so solid and remarkably hassle free these past 3.8 years, I placed my second purchase with Puget for a new PC workstation for my home office.

I logged into my existing online profile at Puget (where my first PC’s specs are still logged) and began configuring a new Intel i7 Quad Core 920 2.66Ghz system with Win7 for a quote. Jeff S. was my sale rep this time and he did a great job answering my questions and offering suggestions – some of which saved me money, which is always appreciated. Jeff was always within easy phone or email reach without a lot of phone menu crap or waiting – something I really appreciate as I hate wasting my time. Puget is located in WA state, U.S.A., and I’m happy to give my business to an American company.

From the time of order to built was 5 days, to shipped was 7 days, and I received it one day later. This time frame included Veterans Day and a weekend, so Puget is extremely efficient and quick putting together and getting a system out the door – and they gave me free shipping.

As before, my system arrived well-packaged in an exterior shipping box; the PC itself was packed into the case box, and the inside of the PC had Insta-pack foam around its vitals to prevent dislodging. Inside the box was a 3-ring binder with a thank-you letter, software serial keys, peripherals connection diagram, Quality Control Sheet, benchmark/burn-in/temp results, manufacturer warranty and support information, my invoice, and system disks. In another box is all the extra hardware, cables, wires, etc. from the build. The machine itself is beautiful, with inside wiring neat and very clean overall. Very organized, everything in one place – I love that.

Now I have to wait until the weekend (1 more day for me) to actually hook it up and get started transferring files, so I’ll amend this review then. But so far, I am again/still happy with Puget Custom Computers – they are a world class computer company IMO.

Originally, I was going to rate my experience here a 9. But I had to give it a solid 10 after my computer arrived broken. Sound strange? Here is the story:

I did a lot of shopping around for a new PC. I found Puget among about a half-dozen other on-line customer PC retailers. After deciding what I wanted in a PC, I sent in a email about a configuration I had looked at. Later that day (it was a Saturday), I got a response. I was rather surprised to get a response as quickly as I did (sorry, I don’t remember the name of the person that initially responded to me).

After mulling it over a few days, I got on the on-line chat feature to discuss more details of the configuration. The rep (I believe his name was Wilson) was very patient and gave me great feedback on what I was looking for. He even helped come up with some different options (such as overclocking). I was very impressed with how fast and efficient the customer service responses were, so I placed my order.

The PC took about a week to build. There was one part that delayed it a few days, otherwise it would have been shorter. In this industry that is a great turn around time. When the PC arrived, it look great, fired up with no issues, and was very quiet. I was very happy. So, my initial thought “I’ll rate the overall experience a 9. The customer service was excellent, but I paid a little more than most of the other retailers I had looked it.”

Then something went wrong. Every time I tried to preform a more intensive function (gaming, blu-ray playback), the computer would shut down with a heat warning. I contacted Puget, and Dan explained to me that this should not be happening. It turns out, my CPU fan had been jarred loose during shipping. He offered to either send me a new fan to replace it, or I could sent the machine back to them (Puget paid). I sent it back. I was without my new machine for about a week. But Dan called me and kept me up to date with the repair. In about a week I had the new computer back, and it works great.

In my opinion, customer service is a corner stone for any successful business. Puget has done an excellent job every step of the way. The slightly higher cost of buying a custom built PC from them was well worth it. I shudder to think of the headache I would have been given if I had to deal with another PC manufacturer when my machine arrived with an unseated fan.

10/10

I purchased a computer from Puget two years ago which has run continuously for those two years. Recently the main cooling fan started making more noise than the other cabinet fans. I was able to look up my order on line and order a new fan. I also talked to a tech who walked me through the steps for the fan replacement. I have never had this service in computer land……Thanks Puget! you get my 10 out of 10 vote……Mike Guthrie

Incredibly fast PC delivered with exceptional customer service. Pre-ordered a Win7 PC in September and it was shipped on the release date. i7 920 processor overclocked 35% and you would never know it except for the speed, cool and stable. As a self-employed person the PC is saving me a ton of time, the i7 processor and the newest intel SSDs are game changing in terms of productivity. I utilize a lot of startup programs and my old PC took about 4 minutes to boot and load all the programs, this PC takes about 15 seconds. Other programs I avoided using because of loading/processing times, I am now running multiple instances of at lightning speed. Can’t say enough about Puget and the new Intel hardware and throw in some props to Microsoft for Win7. This is the time to buy a new PC and you won’t find a better premium PC builder than Puget.

This will be my third time around with Puget in 2-3 years – new comp arriving tomorrow – and the level of service is quite exemplary. From pre-sale advice to after-sale troubleshooting (though I’ve has little issue there!), I have nothing but commendation for the superbly smooth and thorough service.

Who is crazy enough to send you pictures of your system before it ships – both inside and out? And I’m still not sure why I enjoy seeing them, but I do. Anyway, as much to say… the attention to detail is excellent, the technical expertise invaluable – I made a few novice mistakes building my own computer that adversely affected upgrade possibilities. For anybody wanting a custom computer built to specific demands there is no better company. Honest!

It’s with little hyperbole that I give the company a deserved 10 /10

I have to say that the support offered by this company is outstanding. I was 10 months into the ownership of my computer when one day I got a blue screen of death and the system simply would not boot. The help I received from the support staff was unstinting, even though in all likelihood this was not a hardware problem that Puget was responsible for. On the off chance that the issue had to do with the DVD drive, they sent me a new one; they also offered to send me another hard drive, in the event that I was unable to recover the original one.

As it turned out, I was forced to reinstall Windows and I never really did find out what caused the problem in the first place. But the support staff was willing to hold my hand through the whole unfortunate process, in a way that would be inconceivable in any mass marketing outfit. Kudos to a company that really cares for their customers – and I’m glad to have my superfast, super quiet computer restored to service!

I like my new Puget computer, especially the speed compared to my old Dell computer. And, living in a hot desert, I think its great that it has an exceptional cooling system, which may prevent overheating.

And, I was pleased with how fast it arrived, and that it had a nice documentation folder in case I ever need it. My employee Phil Crowe at [email protected] did a great job of transferring all my data and programs from the old computer to the new Puget computer.

Beyond that, I am trusting that superior components will mean reliability, durability, and fewer complications.

I needed a fast computer mainly for video editing, but was also going to use it for general business, too . At first I was going to buy a Dell or HP, but the more I researched the more I thought, “What about a custom machine without all the bloatware? Having the exact set up I want might be better!”

Then my research got more complicated, because I didn’t know who was a good custom computer maker for video editing systems. After a lot of Web searching, I found Puget. Checked out their reputation, and decided to call.

Went to their site, designed a rough system, and then spoke to a rep named Jeff. He said what I’d designed was pretty good, and that it just needed some tweaks. We talked about what I wanted, and he made good recommendations for changes. He really took the time to educate me on the choices and nuances. I felt empowered to make some wise decisions.

The system arrived on-time, in perfect condition, and I’ve been using it happily for a couple of months now. I’m so glad I found Puget. It feels good to deal with a company that knows the value of good customer service.
