Asus PRO WS C621-64L SAGE/10G

The Asus WS C621-64L SAGE/10G is a high-end workstation motherboard for Intel's Cascade Lake-64L based Xeon W processor line. The primary focus of this processor series, and this motherboard, is to support a wide range of PCI-Express cards - but without needing to use PLX chips. This allows for a full four PCI-E x16 slots without the risk of stability issues that sometimes accompany PCI-E switches. This particular line of Xeons also offers six-channel memory, allowing this board to support up to twelve memory modules and 1.5TB of ECC RAM.

In addition to the massive number of PCI-Express slots, this motherboard also features a rare networking configuration: dual 10Gb Ethernet ports. These are great for high-speed network setups, which are becoming more common in areas where high-end workstations are used, and these ports are also backward compatible with the more common 1Gb standard. A lot of other connectivity is included as well: four USB 3.0 and two USB 3.1 ports are present on the back panel, along with analog and digital audio plugs. Internally, ten SATA 6Gbps ports are available for drives along with a single M.2 connector for a high-speed NVMe drive.
