The Glyph Studio RAID is a production-grade, two-drive external RAID. It supports USB 3.0, Firewire 800, and eSATA connections. Glyph offers this model in capacities from 2 to 16TB, with this being the 16TB version. That describes the total raw capacity of the drives inside the RAID. When used in the default RAID 1 mode, the capacity will be cut in half to provide data redundancy. If the full capacity is needed the you can set the array to RAID 0 or JBOD mode instead.
