This is a slim, external DVD burner from ASUS. It is small enough to be portable, for use when traveling with a laptop computer for example, but is also a great accessory for desktop PCs which often don't come with internal optical drives anymore. A single USB cable provides both data and power, and is compatible with both traditional USB Type A ports as well as the newer Type C ports. This drive is capable of both reading and writing CDs and DVDs, including archival-quality M-DISC, but write speeds are somewhat limited compared to a bulkier internal optical drive.
