AMD Ryzen 9000X3D Series
This variation on AMD’s popular Ryzen desktop processors brings high-performance 3D V-Cache™ memory and improved performance in many games and content creation applications.
Overview of AMD Ryzen 9000 X3D Series Processors
AMD’s Ryzen™ family of desktop processors has been a solid gaming and workstation CPU line for many years now. The current Ryzen 9000 Series launched in the summer of 2024, and these X3D variants adapt the same architecture with additional 3D V-Cache™ memory. The first model in this series is already available, the 8-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D, with two additional models that AMD has just announced for availability in March 2025: the 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X3D and 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
These new CPUs work in the same AM5 motherboards and systems as existing Ryzen 9000 Series processors, and support all the normal features the Ryzen line is known and loved for. They will command a price premium over the normal 9000 Series models, of course, but in trade should offer increased performance in applications that can benefit from additional high-speed cache memory.
