Very pleased with my choice to use Puget Sound for my purchase of a high-end gaming system. I searched the web and the retail stores for a few weeks before choosing Puget. Great deal all the way!

Late in 2003, after much unsuccessful searching for the ideal provider of a new PC, I discovered Puget Computers on the Reseller Ratings website. Not only was Puget Computers among the top rated companies on the site, but their own website was like an oasis in a desert of often confusing and overpriced computer system providers.

Having been a customer communications professional all of my adult life, I was looking for a company that would both have fair pricing and a well laid out and easy to understand method of building your own PC. Prior to finding Puget Computers, I encountered problem after problem in building the PC that was truly right for me.

In addition to their excellent website, Jon Bach, Puget’s founder and owner was a patient and competent resource in the final tuning of my purchase decision and was always quick to return calls or e-mails of inquiry.

After taking delivery of my new machine, everything worked well and handled my needs perfectly.

Several days ago, I went to turn on my PC only to discover that the power supply had failed. After calling and leaving a message for Jon about my problem, he returned my call quickly and promised to send a replacement power supply that very day.

Although I am temporarily out of commission, I am confident in making a quick fix, and comfortable in the knowledge that, should future problems occur, Jon and his staff will be there to help me find a solution.

Jon is awsome, i live in the puget sound area and couldnt wait for it to ship to me so i drove out to his house and picked it up, what a guy!

Last summer, I purchased a top-of-the-line, completely loaded dual processor server ($5500+) from Puget Custom Computers for data acquisition and analysis in nuclear physics. The owner, Jon Bach, was initially very helpful and gave good recommendations. The computer arrived quickly and worked well for a few weeks. Then I encountered a problem with the PS/2 keyboard port not working. I emailed support and after a few suggestions, it was decided to return the computer for a replacement motherboard. Soon after I got the computer back, the keyboard again stopped working. After using the old motherboard himself, Jon realized the problem was a grounding issue with the case and offered to replace it. That was over a year ago and ever since then, Jon has not responded to any of my numerous emails. I find this behavior extremely unprofessional, especially considering the fact that he admitted there was a hardware fault. As of now, I get by using a USB keyboard, although it is not usable until Windows is loaded, which prevents selecting Linux from the dual boot menu. This is obviously unacceptable, and someday I will buy a new case on my own, after already spending over $5500. I am sure many people have an excellent experience with Puget Custom Computers, but at least in my case, it seems that they are not willing to offer the comprehensive support they claim.

I am sorry to hear there is still a problem! It appears our emails are not getting through to you, as our reply to both your August 2003 and your June 2004 emails was to ask which case you would like us to send out. Both emails never got a reply, and the fact that they were nearly a year apart led us to believe that you found an alternate solution. Obviously not the case! We’ll be contacting you immediately.

UPDATE FROM CRAIG:

The matter has finally been resolved. It seems the misunderstanding was being amplified by some technical problems with email. From what I gather, last year Jon Bach was willing to send a new case. Because of a problem with their servers, he never got my email last summer stating which replacement case I wanted, or an email earlier this summer inquiring on the status of the new case. During the school year, I didn’t work with the research group and never got a chance to resolve the issue, and understandably Jon assumed I had fixed the problem without a new case. After he saw my feedback, he quickly contacted me, and we recently received the new case.

Puget Computers is a top quality company, putting Dell and the rest to shame. They’re extremely informative, component prices and selection are very competitive, and customer service is phenomenal. I ask them to build a computer and hold it until I move, they say no problem – let us know when to ship. Emails are answered within the hour, usually within 15 minutes, and the whole communication history is posted in your account. Unlike the larger companies, Puget gives you as much control as you want when building your computer. They will walk you step by step through the process, making suggestions as needed, or you can customize everything without consulting them. Either way, you get a machine that is exactly what you need for the amount you want to spend. My machine runs great and I can still afford to be a grad student. I’m recommending them to anyone who needs a new system. Thanks!

After ordering the laptop from pugetsystems, it burned itself out. Now, don’t stop reading just yet. It wasn’t their fault. The system I configured ran far too hot, and I couldn’t keep it cool enough. At any rate, it was returned with no trouble, and a full refund was given to me. They even applied it directly to the purchase of a desktop system, which they are currently building for me. Thats why I’m giving them another 10. Despite the troubles with the laptop and the issues with my moving to a new address between submitting the order and recieving it at the new address… well, they made everything very easy.

Looking for a new, blazing multimedia PC and a good system integrator to build it for me, I found this site completely by accident. I couldn’t have stumbled onto anything better. Puget handled all my questions and concerns (especially with the actual purchase), and I have a wonderful machine at a great price without a need for upgrades for a long time. It’s taken me nearly two weeks to leave this feedback; that’s because I was having too much fun reviewing everything my new system offers. All the little business cards they sent me are being passed out to several co-workers and anyone else I know needing a new PC… I’m preaching the gospel of integration through Puget – many thanks, you guys.

I am 19 years old and have been involved with computers for the past 10 years of my life. I’ve purchased systems for myself and others in the past, and always look for the best possible deal. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about pugetsystems until recently. Now that I do, I will purchase all my future machines here. The amount of options to customize are far greater than those of Alienware, Dell, Gateway, or any of the other big name competitors. I honestly won’t bother going anywhere else from now on, this is the best.
